Check your MPs voting record
Before you decide who to vote for out of the candidates in your local area, it would be good to check the voting record of your current MP, or of the leaders of the different parties.

If your local school or hospital has had their funding cut, which so many have across the country then you may like to check to see if your current MP voted in favour of those cuts.
Here are some issues you might like to check on to see how they voted:
- For or against university tuition fees
- For or against cuts to school funding
- Spending on welfare benefits
- Replacing Trident with a new nucelar weapon system
- Reducing central government funding of local government
- Remain or leave the European Union
- Equal gay rights
- Climate change
